HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-11-15 - Board of Directors Meeting Minutes1547 November 15, 1979 The adjourned meeting of the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda County Water District was called to order by President Knauft at 7:00 p.m. in the offices of the District on Plumosa Drive. Directors present and answering the roll: Howard Lindow, Art Korn, Fred Clodt and Roy Knauft. Director Cromwell absent. The purpose of this adjourned meeting is a workshop session to study the sewer assessment district for Ohio-Oriente area. Also present, Ralph Shook, Jean Mathews, Marc Winthrop attorney, P.D. Royere and engineer Sam Peterson from Keith and Associates. There were about 20 residents from the sewer assessment district area also present. President Knauft welcomed the group and explained the reason for the meeting, and then turned the meeting over to Ralph Shook general manager. Mr. Shook asked Sam Peterson to explain the routing and the cost of construction. Sam explained there are 32 parcels involved and estimated cost was $198,254.00 which does riot include the cost to connect or the charges to the District, City and Sanitation District, which could run from $600.00 to $1500.00 each. Discussion. Mr. Peterson explained that a letter had been received from the Health Department which would allow the District to go ahead without the nec- essary signatures on the petition,however the Board did not feel they wanted to put such a large project on the area without the consent of the property owners. The general consensus of the group being to go ahead and adopt the Resolution of Intention and set the protest hearing and it would probably not be protested. Moved by Director Korn seconded by Director Lindow to adjourn at 8:30 p.m. to November 21, 1979 at 8:30 a.m., motion carried unanimously. can E. Mathews, Secretary
