The adjourned meeting of the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda
County Water District was called to order by Vice President Knauft
at 7:00 p.m. in the district offices on Plumosa Dr. July 6, 1977.
Directors present and answering the roll: Roy Knauft, Merwin Wagner,
Howard Lindow and Art Korn. Director Clodt absent. Also present
Ralph Shook general manager, Jean Mathews secretary and P.D. Royere
assistant general manager.
General manager Shook presented a Resolution to the Board which
would bring up to date the authorization for presentation to LAFCO.
Moved by Director Lindow seconded by Director Korn to adopt Resolut-
ion No. 77-17 entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE YORBA LINDA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT CONCERNING REPRESENTATIVES
APPEARING BEFORE THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION.
Adopted this 6th day of July, 1977 by the following called vote;
Ayes, Wagner, Knauft, Lindow and Korn. Absent, Clodt. Noes, none.
Abstain, none.
General manager read a letter from the trustee regarding annexation
of de Los Reyes property. This was in answer to District request
for a correct legal description and Consent to Annexation signed
by the legal owner. The resolution that had been drafted needed
two changes. Discussion, moved by Director Korn seconded by Dir-
ector Lindow to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 77-18 entitled:RESOLUTION OF
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS PROPOSING ANNEXATION NO. 77-5 TO THE YORBA
LINDA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT and instructing the general manager
to file above resolution with LAFCO upon receipt of the "Consent
to Annexation!" from the legal owner. Passed and adopted this 6th
day of July by the following called vote: Ayes, Knauft, Wagner,
Lindow and Korn. Absent, Clodt, Noes, none. Abstain, none.
Moved by Director Lindow seconded by Director Korn to approve for
payment check No. 4216 for replenishment of permit No. 10 in the
amount of $700.00, motion carried unanimously.
General manager Shook reported on the EIR hearing on the Santiago
intertie at Orange City Hall on July 6th , the lead agency being
MSDOC.
Art Korn reported that Irvine Ranch Water District had their EIR
hearing on the untreated water line from Diemer to Irvine Lake.
Howard Lindow reported on the July 5th city council meeting.
Moved by Director Lindow seconded by Director Korn to adjourn to
executive session at 7:45 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
Meeting reconvened at 9:30 p.m. with all directors present except
Director Clodt. Moved by Director Lindow seconded by Director
Wagner to adjourn to 10:00 a.m. July 13, 1977 motion carried
unanimously.
