HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-07-13 - Board of Directors Meeting Minutes1323 July 13,1977 The adjourned meeting of the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda County Water District was called to order by President Clodt at 10:00 a.m. in the offices of the District on Plumosa Drive on July 13, 1977. Directors present and answering the roll call: Fred Clodt, Merwin Wagner, Roy'Knauft, Howard Lindow and Director Korn was absent. Also present Ralph Shook general manager, P.D. Royere assistant gen- eral; Jean Mathews secretary, Chas Hobbs consultant, Art Littrleworth attorney and DuWayne Lidke of James Montgomery. Mr. Shook said that the Kraemer Ranch annexation of 860 acres would be heard at 2:00 today and also a review of the sphere of influence. Copies of the LAFCO staff report was given to all directors. Discussion. General manager said that on July 23, 1975 a unanimous vote by LAFCO gave the district the zone of influence to all of the area to the East as far as the county line. Mr. Littleworth gave a report on his views of the District's position. The annexations now in process are 77-1 dominguez, 77-2 Kraemer, 77-3 and 77-4 Yorba and 77-5 De Los Reyes. 11:25 break. 11:35 meeting reconvened with the four directors present. Mr. Korn absent. Mr. Chuck Hobbs spoke regarding the District's position, his recomm- endations being that the District take a firm stand regarding its ability to serve water and sewer and then go ahead and give the best service possible, public relations, press and involvement in community by our District all very important. Sam Peterson of Keith and Associates arrived at 12:10 noon. Mr. Hobbs said that he would come to the Board meeting on Thursday and present his proposal.
