The adjourned meeting of the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda
County Water District was called to order by President Clodt at
7:00 p.m. on February 17, 1977 in the offices of the District on
Plumosa Drive.
Directors present and answering the roll: Fred Clodt, Merwin Wagner,
Roy Knauft, Howard Lindow and Art Korn. Also present general manager
Ralph Shook, secretary Jean Mathews, engineer DuWayne Lidke and
attorney Rodger Howell.
General manager read a letter he had sent Mr. Robie, State Director--
of Water Resources in answer to the mailgram from Governor Brown re-
garding conservation of water and projected use.
General manager announced that the District had received many calls
and inquiries concerning the water shortage and conservation efforts
from concerned customers. He recommended that the District adopt
a resolution encouraging water conservation.
Moved by Director Knauft seconded by Director Lindow and unanimously
carried to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 77-3 entitled RESOLUTION OF THE
BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE YORBA LINDA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT SUPPORTING
ALL EFFORTS TO REDUCE WATER WASTE, AND REQUESTING CITIZENS OF THE
DISTRICT TO CONSERVE WATER. Adopted this 17th day of February 1977.
General manager presented the request of Broadmoor Homes for annex-
ation of the Dominguez property for water and sewer service and the
consent of the owner of the proposed annexation. Discussion.
Moved by Director Wagner seconded by Director Knauft to adopt the
following Resolution : RESOLUTION NO. 77-4 entitled RESOLUTION OF
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE YORBA LINDA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT
PROPOSING ANNEXATION NO. 77-1 TO THE YORBA LINDA COUNTY WATER
DISTRICT PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE 56195. Roll call vote: Ayes;
Directors Clodt, Wagner, Knauft, Lindow and Korn. Noes: none
Absent: none. Passed and adopted this 17th day of February 1977.
Discussion regarding the area East of the district boundary with
regard to water and sewer, financing time table of development and
general matters of concern.
