March 2, 1977
The adjourned joint meeting of the Board of Directors of the Yorba
Linda County Water District and the City Council of the City of
Yorba Linda was called to order by President of the Board of the
Yorba Linda County Water District at 7:00 p.m. March 2 in the
offices of the District on Plumosa Drive.
General manager Shook acting in the roll of assistant secretary
for the District took roll call: Directors, Clodt, Wagner, Knauft,
Lindow and Korn were all present. Also present Sam Peterson of
Keith and Associates, Richard Davalos engineering, Dean Davission
public relations and Ralph Shook general manager and assistant
secretary.
City council roll call: Mayor Wedaa, councilmen Chaput, Fried, Groot
and Cromwell present.
Also present from the city Art Simonian, manager, Ray Stevenson
city engineer, Dorothy Jones city clerk, Ray J. Berryman engineer,
Charles Rollins project manager and Tim Unger from Broadmoor Homes,
Inc., Doris Byron from the News Tribune.
City clerk Dorothy Jones transcribed separate minutes of the business
f--- the City Council which are not recorded here.
President Fred Clodt of the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda
County Water District made the opening remarks on the purpose of
the joint meeting.
Mayor Wedaa also made a opening statements.
Staff reports were made by Ralph Shook general manager regarding
history of the district sewer system and present operation. Sam
Peterson sewer consultant made a more detailed report on the study
master planning and construction of the sewer system to date.
Directors and councilmen discussed the sewers and the city action
to go into the sewer business at length.
Recess declared at 8:40 p.m.
Reconvened at 8:52 p.m. all directors present.
Discussion continued on the sewers and related problems and an
assessment district for the area East of Yorba Linda.
No action taken by the District Board of Directors.
Short discussion regarding a schedule of future meeting on the
combined committee from the City and the District. City council
to set up the committee at their next meeting on Monday March 7.

Several items of city business were transacted by the city council.
Council meeting adjourned at 9:37 p.m.
President Clodt called a recess at 9:37 p.m.
Reconvened at 9:47 p.m. with all directors present.
Further discussion regarding service to the east both water and sewer.
No action taken by District Board.
Meeting declared adjourned at 10:55 p.m. by President Clodt.
