HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-06-29 - Board of Directors Meeting Minutes924 June 29, 1972 The adjourned meeting of the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda County-Water District was called to order by President McGuire...at 2:30.p.m. in the office of the District on Plumosa Drive. Directors present and answering the roll call: McGuire, Clodt, Hastings, Wagner and Knauft. Also present were Rodger Howell, Attorney, James Kerfoot, Auditor, Jay Johnson and Tom Baldikoski from McCarthy Company, Jack Bisson, Bob Brown and Joe Hearn representatives of Hartford Insurance, Harlon Mahon and Dave O'Brian representatives of General Accident and Life Insurance and Milo Keith and Sam Peterson, Keith and Associates engineers. Moved by Director Knauft and seconded by Director Hastings to appoint James W. Kerfoot Recording Secretary for this day in the absence of Jean E. Mathews, District Secretary. Motion carried unanimously. Motion made by Director Wagner and seconded by Director Knauft that the Lease Agreement with Quinn Insurance Services Inc., dated June 23, 1972 for the District Building at 4866 OlindaStreet with a 30 day vacating notice be approved. Motion carried unanimously. Discussion was led by Attorney H well concering water and sewer service to Tract No. 7413 with M?Carthy Company and the pending annexation. Motion was made by Director Hastings and seconded by Director Wagner to reaffirm approval of the " Agreement for Water and Sewer Service Between Yorba Linda County Water District and the McCarthy Company of Southern California" to proceed with its execution. Also to reaffirm_ the approval of the annexation of Tract No. 7413 to the District. Motion carried unanimously. Discussion was held concerning the District Blanket Liability insurance with Hartford Insurance Company and the General Accident and Life Insurance Company. A binder for coverage from General Accident and Life was received through the 13th of July 1972. General Accident is to report on reasons for denial of our claim for liability damage at Imperial and Casa Loma especially as per- tains to our commitment to the California Division of Highways under our encroachment Permit. Milo Keith of Keith and Associates gave a brief onthe Esperanza sewer developments and asked the Board to consider authorization for an update study to the master study at a future date. Rodger Howell in behalf of the Board asked Keith and Associates for a commitment to provide sewers to Tract No. 7413 to meet the District commitment under the Districts' Agreement with McCarthy Company.-A verbal commitment was given by Milo Keith and Sam Peterson. 925 June 29, 1972 (continued) Milo Keith brought up the request by Anaheim for the District to Ciphon our sewer under their pending flood control channel on Kellogg North of Esperanzao No action was taken.
