The adjourned meeting of the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda County Water
District was called to order by President McGuire in the District offices on
Plumosa Drive at 9:05 a.m.
Directors present and answering the roll call:McGuire, Hastings, Wagner and
Knauft. Director Clodt absent. Also present: Assistant Secretary, General
Manager Ralph C. Shook, Water Superintendent Pete Royere.
The purpose of this adjourned meeting: To meet with the Yorba Linda City
Council members for a brief history of District and a question and answer
period and then a tour of the District facilities. Present from the City of
Yorba Linda: Mayor Castro, Council members, Carolyn Ewing, Hank Wedda and
Dale Caput and City administrator Art Simonian.
Ralph McGuire welcomed-the City Council and gave a short introduction speech.
President McGuire then turned the meeting over to General Manager Shook. Mr.
Shook gave a short history of the District formation, size, type and amount of
facilities, water source, the plans for future development and he also explain-
ed proceedure in making application for water and sewer service. A short
explanation of the repayment agreements for sewer and water. There was a
question period ::-_.,The meeting-was recessed at 10:10 a.m. for a tour of the
District facilities including the new reservoir now under construction on
Fairmont.
The meeting was reconviened at the District offices at 12:30 p.m. with Directors
McGuire, Hastings and Knauft present and Director Clodt and Wagner absent.
Moved by Director Hastings seconded by Director Knauft at 12:44 p.m. to adjourn
to 9:00 a.m. Saturday November 18, 1972. Motio carried.
