HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-12-13 - Board of Directors Meeting Minutes1038 December 13, 1973 The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda County Water District was called to order by President Hastings at 8:30 a.m. in the offices of the District at 4622 Plumosa Drive on December 13, 1973. Directors present and answering the roll: Hastings, Knauft Lindow and Wagner. Director Clodt absent. Moved by Director Knauft seconded by Director Wagner to approve the minutes as mailed for November 30th, Director Lindow said that the motion for bills and refunds was voted on and not noted in the minutes. Minutes approved as corrected. Howard Lir_dow reported on the City Council meeting of December 3. Director Clodt arrived 8:48 a.m. Pete Royere reported on the Placentia City Council meeting December 4. Fred Clodt reported on the Planning Commission meeting December 10. Ralph Shook and Rex Hastings reported on the Orange County Water Management Association meeting December 7th. Discussion - tabled until further information is available. Ralph Shook and Gordon Peterson reported on the annual meeting December 11, of California Mutual Water Association and Southern California Mutual Water Association. DuWayne Lidke gave an updated report on the Master Plan giving a general view of the entire plan with recommendations for reservoir and treatment plant in Zone 5 rather than booster stations. General discussion. Rodger Howell arrived at 10:20 a.m. Special District seminar on the Queen Mary January 25-27, 1974. Moved by Director Knauft seconded by Director Clodt carried un- animously approving attendance of any directors and or General Manager at District expense. S 14-1640 Larry Moriarity 4858 Main Street , moved by Director Clodt seconded by Director Knauft carried unanimously to approve staff recommendations. Job 777 Prospect 5.8 acres Herb Krause, property in the Carlton Tract north of Wabash. Exhibits reviewed, moved by Director Knauft seconded by Director Lindow carried unanimously to approve staff re- commendations. Job 783 Henry Worthington, one acre on Palm and Yorba Linda Blvd. Exhibits reviewed, moved by Director Clodt seconded by Director Lindow carried unanimously to approve staff recommendations. 1039 December 13, 1973 (continued) Job 784 for both sewer and water Wm. Collett on Eureka, exhibits reviewed, moved by Director Knauft seconded by Director Lindow carried unanimously to approve staff recommendations. Moved by Director Knauft seconded by Director Lindow carried un- animously to approve the audited bills and rate deposits for $ 22,133.37 on checks 23866 through 23986. Moved by Director Clodt and seconded by Director Lindow and carried unanimously all directors are hereby authorized to leave the State of California for either business or personal reasons between now and the next regular meeting of the Board of Directors. S 14-172 Walker on 4712 Garden Place moved by Director Knauft . seconded by Director Clodt to approve staff recommendations, motion carried unanimously. Richard Davalos reported that he had negotiated an agreement with Dr. B. Wm. Bell for an easement for sewer line whereby Dr. Bell would grant the easement and pay the fees on the one acre parcel at this time - fees on balance of property to be paid at time of development. Moved by Director Clodt seconded by Director Lindow authorizing the execution of the agreement and approving staff recommendations on the fees for said parcel. Motion carried un- animously. Mr. Shook reported: 1. He felt Richard had done an exceptionaly fine job on the Bell easement and agreement, 2. Edison Company hearing on December 4 for the San Onofre Edison Plant expansion was denied by the California Costal Zone Commission. 3. Building committee had met and were working on the shop facilities plan. 4. Sewer refunds will be ready December 31. 6. Investments earning 8 Z% and 9 4 % on time deposits. 7. Talked with Mr. Carlo from the Gas Company concerning gas engine at Plant 2. Meeting adjourned on a motion by Director Knauft seconded by Director Lindow. Jean E. Mathews, Secretary
