The adjourned meeting of the Board of Directors of the Yorba
Linda County Water District was called to order by President
McGuire at 7:00 p.m. in the offices of the District. The
purpose of this meeting to meet jointly with the Yorba Linda
City Council to give the council information regarding the
function and purpose of the District and tell them about the
sewer program and water plans.
Roll call: Directors present and answering the roll, McGuire
Hastings, Clodt, Wagner and Knauft.
Also present: Yorba Linda City Council - Mayor Machado,
Councilman Wedaa and Cromwell, City Administrator Dalton,
Planning Director Brian Hawley, Carl Tice, President'of the
Chamber of Commerce and Jim Brock, reporter from the Santa
Ana Register.
Mr. McGuire welcomed the group to the District meeting gave
the introduction and introduced the Directors, General Manager
and Secretary.
President McGuire excused Director Wagner who had another
meeting with Orange County Water District.
Mr. Shook, General Manager gave a short history of the Mutual
the formation of the District, size, growth of the District.
The needs of the District at the present time, desire to
grow to the East and the desire to work with the City in this
development.
Mr. McGuire conducted a question and answer period.
Suggested that this had been good for both District and the
City and that perhaps a meeting each quarter would be a good
thing.
Moved by Director Clodt, seconded by Director Hastings meeting
adjourned at 9:27 p.m.
