July 24, 1970
A special meeting of the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda
County Water District was called to order at 9:00 a.m. July 24,
1970 in the offices of the District by President McGuire.
Directors present and answering the roll call: McGuire, C1odt,
Hastings, Wagner. Director Knauft entered the meeting at 9:25
a.m. Also present was attorney for the District, H. Rodger Howell
and engineer for the district DuWayne Lidke.
Discussion reference Detachments 70-2 and 70-3 was led'by General
Manager Ralph Shook and attorney Rodger Howell who gave a brief
of the hearing with the Local Agency Formation Commission field
Wednesday july 22, 1970 which resulted in a thirty day continuance
of the detachment proceedings. After considerable discussion it
was the general desire of the Board to give instruction for the
Attorney to proceed in behalf of the District in opposition to the
above detachments as they have been proposed including litigation
in the courts, however, remaining open for mutual agreements and
negotiations with interested parties and agencies to prevent this
course 'of action if such is possible.
Meeting adjourned at 11:15 a.m.
