HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-05-25 - Board of Directors Meeting Minutes504 May 25, 1966 An adjourned meeting of the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda County Water District was called to order by President Wagner at 8:30 A.M. with the follow- ing Directors answering the roll: -Wagner, McGuire, Hastings and Clodt. Director Milmoe was absen t. H. Rodger Howell attorney for the District was also present. General Manager presented a quote from Harrod Rickarad McCone for a Case 420 Crawler $3450 plus tax less the present crawler as a turn-in. Repairs on the present crawler are estimated to be almost as much as the market value of the equipment. Motion by Director Clodt, seconded -by Director McGuire carried unanimously to purchase the Case 420 Crawler at the quoted price less the trade in on the old crawler. City of Fullerton has copper tubing that bids will be acciepted on June 2, Friday. A $1000 cashier's check or money order to accompany the bid. Motion by Director Hastings, seconded by Director McGuire carried unanimously that the General Manager submit a bid not to exceed $0.$5 a foot, and to keep the bid about 2 to 3 ¢ below the market price and to purchase a cashier's check in the amount of $1000.00 to accompany the bid. General Manager read a letter from Robert rilmoe offering to resign from his office of Director because he is absent from the Country and wall not be able to attend meetings regularly for a period of time. Attorney Howell to drop Mr. Milmoe a line and a resignation form that will, be acceptable for his signature. Arthur Korn came before the Board at this time with a proposal for the sewer connection applications in the 1911 Act Improvement District 64--1.: Upon due consideration of the various and separate parcels located within the boundaries of the Sewer Improvement. District 64-1, it was moved by Director Clodt, seconded by Director McGuire and unanimously carried that subject to the filing of an Application for Sanitary Sewer Connection for the particular parcel desiring service within six months of this date, all parcels within Sewer I mprovement District 64-1 are within drainage area "C" and the service charge for all parciels, shall be $350.00 per acre, and this approval of all parcels within Sewer Improvement District 64-1 shall be considered to have met the requirements of resolution 60 if the above time limit has been met. S-15-1452 motion by Director McGuire, seconded by Director Clodt carried un- animously to approve staff recommendations. S-22-53 Motion by Director McGuire, seconded by Director Hastings to approve staff recommendations on this sewer connection. Motion carried unanimously. S-24-74- Laramore motion by Director McGuire, seconded by Director Hastings carried unanimously to approve staff recommendations. Job 463 Fischer Rose Drive. Pursuant to the rules and regulations the application and exhibits were examined for Water Service. It was moved by Director McGuire, seconded by Director Hastings and carried that the application for water be approved as recommended by staff. Job 464-- review his application for a 1 inch meter on Oriente. The new meter on booked agricultural use only if he continues to book his water, but when the use changes it will become demand and fire hydrant fee must be paid at tgat tine TYe staff to flag both meter service cams for any change in service or ownerg s ip elete ire ny rant charge at this time. Motion made by Director Clodt seconded by Director Hastings carried unanimously. 505 May 259 1966 (continued), Barton Job 453 agreement to be executed by the proper officers, Motion by Director Hastings, seconded by Director Clodt carried unanimously that the officers be so authorized. Job 270 Schedule I agreement read to be executed by officers of the District. Motion by Director McGuire, seconded by Director Hastings, carried unanimously that the proper officers execute the document. Report on the cement lining job CL66.-1 water back in the line everything just about finished up. Moved by Director McGuire, seconded by Director Clodt that the audited bills and refunds in the amount of $16549.29 on checks J 8123 - 8184 be paid, motion carried unanimously. Moved by Director McGuire, seconded by Director Hastings carried unanimously that all directors have permission to leave the State for either business or pleasure between this meeting and the next regular meeting of the Board of Directors. Mr. Shook read a letter from Rane Construction which stated they had granted a 30 day extension of the bid submitted for the Carbon Canyon Sewer, to Land- mark Homes. Moved by Director Clodt, seconded by Director Hastings carried unanimouuly to accept the 30 day extension of Hane Construction. General Manager read a letter from the Orange County Grand Jury recommending Fluoridation of the water in the county water district. Moved by Director Clodt seconded by Director McGuire carried unanimously to table the matter until more formation is available. The Secretary was instructed to write the County Health Department for reports and information on fluoridation. Budget meeting date re set for June 2, 1966 Thursday at 8:30 a.m. Meeting adjourned.
