HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-09-08 - Board of Directors Meeting Minutes45 2 September 8, 1965 The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda County Water District was called to order by-President Wagner at 8:30 A.M. on September 8, 1965 at the office of the District. Directors answering the roll call were Directors Wagner, Ciodt, Hastings and McGuire. Director Milmoe was absent. H. Rodger Howell, attorney for the District was also present. Minutes of the last two meetings, August-11 and August 25-, 1965 were approved as mailed, on motion by Director McGuire, seconded by Director Hastings, motion carried unanimously. General Manager Shook reported on the Reservoir Site No. 3. Motion by Director Hastings, seconded by Director McGuire, carried un- animously that the plans be approved as presented at the committee meeting with Brian Stone of James Montgomery, motion also- slated the General Manager be authorized to dispose of the exces-s soil at the best terms for the District. Sewer Agreement S-183 - Motion by Director Hastings,-seconded by Director McGuire, carried unanimously that the proper officers be authorized to execute the agreement. Sewer Agreement S-73 B - Motion by Director McGuire, seconded-by' Director Ciodt and carried unanimously that the proper officers be authorized to execute the agreement. The contract with Sare's Pipeline Construction for the installation of the water line and appurtenances for Job 67 and 223-was presented for execution. A motion byDirector McGuire, seconded by Director Clodt carried unanimously that upon the recommendation of the Attorney that the proper officers be authorized to execute the Contract for the District. Job 432 -Daniel K. Hiskey - Pursuant to the rules and regulations the application and exhibits were examined. It was moved by Director Ciodt, seconded byDirector Hastings and carried unanimously that the application for water service be approved as per staff recommendations. 5-19-234 - Tansey - Motion byDirector Ciodt, seconded by Director Hastings and carried unanimously to approve the staff's recommend- ations for this job. General Manager Shook announced the dinner for J. Jensen, Chairman of the M. W. D. Board to be held September 15, 1965. Motion by Director McGuire, seconded by Director Hastings that the General Manager and any Directors able to attend be authorized to do so at District expense, carried unanimously. Motion by Director Ciodt, seconded by Director McGuire, that the audited bills and rate deposits be paid. Motion carried unanimously. Attorney Howell announced the dates of October 27, 28 and 29 for the California Section of AWWA convention to be held in San Francisco. December 2 and 3 Colorado River Water Users Association at Las Vegas and December 8, 9, 10 the I.D.A. Motion carried unanimously The General Manager reported that the cement lining of the 20" was just about c-omplete. Director McGuire made a motion seconded by Director Clodt and carried unanimously that=all Directors of the District have permission to leave the State of California for either business or pleasure between this meeting and the next regular meeting.
