HomeMy WebLinkAbout1964-11-25 - Board of Directors Meeting Minutes393 November 25, 1964 An adjourned meeting of the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda County Water District was convened at.the office of the District by President Wagner at the hour of 8:30 A.M. November 25, 1964. Answering the roll call were Directors Wagner, Milmoe, McGuire, and Hastings. Director Clodt was absent. Also present was H. Rodger Howell, attorney for the District. On a motion made by Director McGuire and seconded by Director Hastings and duly carried, audited bills against the District were approved as follows: Accounts payable 215814.79 Deposit Refunds 588.22 RESOLUTION NO: 119 On a motion made by Director McGuire, seconded by Director Hastings and carried Resolution No. 119 was unanimously adopted approving a Right of Way Agreement and Grant of Easement for the Acquisition of Right of.Way from the Estate of Wm. H. Evans deceased and the Estate of Wm. E. Evans deceased and approving the payment of funds to said Grantors for Conveyance of said Right of Way. Mr. Jack Hall, Mr.Dick Smith and Mr. Warren Bradford entered the meeting and a general discussion was held concerning the possibility of a certain property being annexed to the District. After discussion of the matter it was continued for a later meeting. Job 365 " A Mr. Pafford of Baker and Pafford was present to request a relocation of a meter for this property. After discussion a motion was made by Director McGuire, seconded by Director Hastings, and carried that the relocation by the Developer be approved subject to the understanding that any further development of the property served by this meter be subject to the normal assessment at that time. The problem of rusty water due to a dead end line in Lots 3 and 4 of Block 8 was discussed. The problem was discussed and a motion was made by Director Milmoe, seconded by Director Hastings that the plan for a bypass of small diameter pipe and a meter re locat-ion be ap.- proved to correct the situation at the District9s cost. A discussion was held concerning the proper maintenance of the District house on Plumosa. President Wagner appointed Director McGuire and Director Hastings as a committee to check the property in question with authorization to repair as necessary. Job 374 » An agreement with Orange County Municipal Water District for a service connection on the M.W.D. line was presented and on the recommendation and approval of the General Manager and Attorney a motion was made by Director McGuire, seconded by Director Hastings and unanimously carried that the agreement be approved and the proper officers be authorized to execute same. A letter was read from a Mr. Wm. H. Dietrele requesting further information on the reasons for the rate increase that was effective last August, 1964. The matter was referred to the General Manager for an answer. 394. Nov. 25, 1964(continued) Job 5-269 » A motion was made by Director Hastings, seconded uy Director McGuire and carried that-the proper ofticers be authorized to execute an agreement for servlcc for thi,, joL,Job 375 Pursuant to Sec. 7.6 of the rules and regulations the proposed water`servicelfaciilities'as shown on Exhibit No. "A;' were examined. `It was moved by Director McGuire, seconded by Director Hastings and carried that the proposed facilities be approved,as conforming_to the rules and regulations providing that a proportionate fee be charged for the pro rata share of the cost of a fire hydrant. Job 370 - Pursuant to Sec. 7.6 of the rules and regulations the proposed water service facilities as shown on Exhibit No. "AY were examined. It was moved by Director Hastings, seconded by Director Milmoe and carried that the proposed facilities be approved as conforming to the rules and regulations with no except-ions. Job S-53T10 Pursuant to the rules and regulations the proposed sewer service facilities as shown on Exhibit No. "A! were examined. It was moved by Director McGuire, seconded by Director Hastings and carried that the application for service be approved and that the property is within drainage area "A" that the service charge shall be at the rate of $350.00*per acre, and there shall be no refund agreement. All fees paid as per S-363. A motion by Director McGuire, seconded byDirector Hastings and carried stated that the Directors of the District shall be authorized to leave the State either for business or personal reasons between now and the next regular meeting of the Board of Directors. There being no further business the meeting was declared adjourned to the hour of 7.30 A.M. December 9, 1964 on a motion made by -Director Hastings, seconded byDirector McGuire and carried, Valdo. Y.
