HomeMy WebLinkAbout1963-12-16 - Board of Directors Meeting Minutes322 December 16, 1963 A special meeting of the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda County Water District was called to order at the office of the District at the hour of 8:30 A.M. December 16, 1963 for the purpose of dis- cussing the new buildings and payment for same and any other-business proper to be considered. All directors were present and answered the roll. Also present was H. Rodger Howell, attorney for the District. An audited bill for $10,893:14 for pensions and life insurance to North West National Life insurance was approved for payment on a motion made by Director Hastings, seconded by Director Milmoe and duly carried. Job 299- An application was made for water service on Oriente.between Ohio Street and Palm Avenue. After discussion a motion was made by Director McGuire seconded by Director Hastings and carried that the application be granted as recommended by Staff and subject to the Rules and Regulations of this District including the installation of a fire hydrant as well as the requested service. The General Manager reported that Rands Cabana had asked for early consideration of their bill for a new building and consented to paying $175.00 for a special meeting of the Board to have the payment authorized. After discussion a motion was made by Director Milmoe seconded by Director Clodt and carried that subject to clearance by the Attorney for the District and the General Manager payment be made in the amount of $4,420.00 less 10% retention and less $175.00 for the expense of a special board meeting. The question of holidays observed by the District but which fall on a Saturday during the year was presented and discussed. After discussion a motion was made by Director Hastings, seconded by Director Milmoe and carried tl-d-- the customary hobdaya be granted, but that they must be taken any day within 60 days after said holiday and subject to the approval of the Department head ahd General Manager. Director McGuire announced that it had been some time since the salafy of the General Manager had been reviewed and made a motion that his salary be increased in the amount of $600.00 per year effective Nov- ember 25, 1963. The motion was seconded by Director Milmoe and un- animously carried. President Wagner appointed Directors Milmoe to make further study of the projected park Imperial.
