HomeMy WebLinkAbout1961-03-08 - Board of Directors Meeting Minutes96 March 8, 1961 The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda County Water District was called to order at the office. of the District on March S 81 1961 at the hour of 8:30 A.M. by President Crist. All directors were present and answered the roll. Also present was attorney tin. Harmon. A motion was made by Director Wagner, seconded by Director Hastings and duly carried to approve the minutes of February 81 1961 and February 20, 1961 as mailed. ;The Secretary read a letter from Mr. John Holmes requesting ,'permission to set a meter on Ohio Street to serve a parcel of land more than 100 feet from the main. The letter explaih1 mg L ed that a line had been laid to the property before the dis. solution of the Yorba Linda Water Company and the present owner had purchased the property in 19$9 under the assumption that there was a meter to serve it. After discus~Wrthat motion.was made by Director Milmoe, seconded by Director the General Manager be authorized to draw an agreement with the petitioner to the effect that a meter could be installed under the following conditions: That the service be for this property only and that no other property, or future division of this property be served, and that this permit shall in no way waive any of the Rules and Regulations now in effect, or that shall be in effect in the future. The Secretary read a letter from the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce concerning membership in the organization. After dis- cussion a motion was made by Director Milmoe, seconded by Director ` Hastings and carried that the Secretary be authorized to pay 15.00 for a membership. u Director Milmoe reported for the rdue Engineering Committee that the plans for Plant 1 were delayeto minor changes in design but that they would be ready in a few days. After discussion a motion was made by Director Wagner, seconded by Director Clodt that the General Manager be authorized to proceed to advertise for bids as soon as the plans were ready and to set the date for opening bids for April 5 T961, and that t wa e sche u~egs set forth in the Notice Inviting 2i s, a copy of whi AlKscuss on o r ie' Boile'Mon oT* a fee of ~Yft $2.00 per acre for land within the istrict not using water was held. After discussion it was agreed that the subject required further study before readtftg a decision. - There being no fuEth business the meeting was adjourned on a motion made by Director asings, seconded by Director Clodt and duly carried.
