PUBLIC COMMENTS Any individual wishing to address the Board is requested to identify themselves and state the matter on which they wish to comment. If the matter is on the agenda, the Board will recognize the individual for their comment when the item is considered. No action will be taken on matters not listed on the agenda. Comments are limited to matters of public interest and matters within the jurisdiction of the Water District. Comments are limited to five minutes. 5. DISCUSSION ITEMS This portion of the agenda is for matters that cannot reasonably be expected to be concluded by action of the Board of Directors at the meeting, such as technical presentations, drafts of proposed policies, or similar items for which staff is seeking the advice and counsel of the Board of Directors. Time permitting, it is generally in the District's interest to discuss these more complex matters at one meeting and consider formal action at another meeting. This portion of the agenda may also include items for information only. 5.1. Board of Directors Annual Tour of District Facilities and Construction Projects 6. ADJOURNMENT 6.1. The next regular meeting of the Board of Directors will be held Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. Items Distributed to the Board Less Than 72 Hours Prior to the Meeting Pursuant to Government Code section 54957.5, non-exempt public records that relate to open session agenda items and are distributed to a majority of the Board less than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the meeting will be available for public inspection in the lobby of the District's business office located at 1717 E. Miraloma Avenue, Placentia, CA 92870, during regular business hours. When practical, these public records will also be made available on the District's internet website accessible at http://www.ylwd.com/. OCWD Board has given conceptual approval for this well site. We are working with OCWD staff on terms and conditions for an agreement and for drilling of a test well. 3 Well No. 20 construction site. Construction is essentially complete for our new well, at the site of the District's existing Well No. 11. We plan to use new Well No. 20 (estimated flow: 3,000 gpm) with Well No. 11 as a backup. 4 Richfield Rd. Pipeline Replacement. As part of our 2010 Pipeline Replacement Project, we are replacing a 75 year old 26" steel pipeline with a 12" PVC pipeline. 5 Van Buren Rd. Pressure Regulating Station Retrofit site. This facility and three others will be reconstructed, with work starting at this site by July 2012. 6 New gate across Highland to eliminate unauthorized traffic. 7 Highland Booster Station. New pump station, essentially complete, with capacity to pump 18,000 gpm, with two engine-driven and three motor- driven pumps. 8 Yorba Linda Blvd. Pipeline and Booster Station. Location of new pipeline planned for construction in Summer/Fall 2012, followed by new booster station on former Gun Club Road in 2013. 9 Fairmont Reservoir and Booster Station site. Location of rebuild for planned larger booster station and O&M facilities. 10 Vantage Point for Proposed Upper Casino Ridge Development, Cielo Vista Development and Yorba Linda Estates Development. 11 Yorba Linda Spur Sewer Project. New 18" sewer in La Palma Avenue constructed as a joint County/OCSD Project, with finished sewer to be owned and operated by YLWD.
