SUBJECT: Summary Minutes of the Shell Ad Hoc Committee Meeting
The Shell Ad Hoc Committee held a meeting on February 4, 1998. Present were Directors Carl
Scanlin and Michael Beverage, and staff members William Robertson, Chuck Gray, and Ken
Vecchiaerlli. The committee conducted a review of the deal points of the Shell -Toll Facility
Phasing Agreement. Items discussed were the District's desire to construct the 3.0 MG concrete
reservoir in its entirety rather than in two phases, the timing of construction of the water well and
the 2.0 MG steel reservoir, and the demolition of the abandoned concrete lined Bastanchury
Reservoir that will including site grading. In addition, elimination of Shell -Toll financing of
District Capital Improvements, and potential commercial development of the District's OC -51
site was discussed. These issues were discussed at the Board of Directors February 5, 1998 Goals
Workshop and the Shell -Toll Facilities Phasing Agreement will be presented for Board
consideration at a later date.
