SUBJECT: Summary Minutes of the Public Information Committee Meeting
The Public Information Committee held a meeting on March 3, 1999. Present were Directors
Michael Beverage and Brett Barbre. Staff members present were William Robertson, Michael
Payne and Mike Robinson. The following items were discussed:
Item 1. Public Information Activities. The Committee reviewed the status of ongoing Public
Information Activities. Activities reviewed were: District magnets, 1998 Water Quality Report,
tours, and the upcoming District open house in May recognizing Water Awareness Month and
the anniversary of the District's existence.
Item 2. Web site. Discussion of proposed web site and possible ideas for a web page. An
Agenda Report will be presented to the Board of Directors within two months requesting
authorization to solicit proposals.
Items 3. Yorba Linda Store. Discussion of mementos to commemorate the District's 90 years of
service in the community and replenishing stocks of previous mementos. Bill advised the
committee that staff would present a complete list of possible items for the committee's review.
Item 4. Annual Report. Mike Robinson outlined ideas for the upcoming Annual Report. The
committee made several suggestions about the layout and contents of the report.
