Summary minutes of Public Information Committee meeting
The Public Information Committee met on February 1, 2000. Directors Mike Beverage, Brett
Barbre, General Manager Bill Robertson, Assistant General Manager Mike Payne and Public
Information Officer Mike Robinson were present.
District Video. The committee reviewed proposals to produce an informational and a
historical video about Yorba Linda Water District. This item will be presented for action at
this meeting of the Board of Directors.
2. Web Page. The committee reviewed the progress made on creating a District internet web site.
Mr. Payne advised the committee that staff will do the web page with some creative assistance
by a consultant.
3. Status Report On Upcoming Public Information Projects. The committee reviewed
completed and upcoming activities. These include the District facilities tour; the ultra low flow
toilet give away event; student tours; Zip Code Magazine articles; Water Lines newsletter
features; and development of a proclamation document.
4. Consumer Confidence Report. The committee reviewed the requirements for creating a
Consumer Confidence Report. This publication will replace the annual water quality report
that has been issued the past ten years.
