SUBJECT: Summary Minutes of the Planning- Engineering- Operations Committee Meeting
The Planning- Engineering- Operations Committee held a meeting on June 17, 1998. Present were
Directors Paul Armstrong, Arthur Korn and staff members William Robertson, Lee Cory, Chuck
Gray, and Leon de los Reyes. The following items were discussed by the committee.
1. Public Health Goals Report. Chuck Gray, Engineering Manager, presented a staff report
on the July, 1998 Public Health Goals Report. Items discussed were the amendments to
the California Safe Drinking Water Act, the purpose of Public Health Goals, and the
impact to the District. An agenda report considering this issue is contained within this
agenda package.
2. Other. The committee conducted a general discussion of the bids received for a new
sewer cleaning machine, and methods to advise the District's customers of the 36 inch
Richfield Road water main construction project and the potential impact to traffic in the
area.
