Summary Minutes of the Planning- Engineering- Operations Committee Meeting
The Planning- Engineering- Operations Committee held a meeting on March 17, 1999. Present
were Directors Paul Armstrong, Brett Barbre and staff members William Robertson, Chuck Gray,
Ken Vecchiarelli, and Lee Cory. The committee discussed the following items.
1. Fieldstone Development., Ken Vecchiarelli, Engineering Manager, reported on proposed
amendments to the terms and conditions for water service for the Fieldstone project on
Richfield Road at Mariposa. The discussion centered about whether to allow Fieldstone to
construct a 24 -inch bypass pipeline on the District's existing 26 -inch Zone 1 transmission
main. An agenda considering this matter is presented for action by the Board of Directors
within this agenda package.
2. Well No. 11 Rehabilitation. Ken Vecchiarelli, Engineering Manager, reported on
engineering proposals received to design a new pump, motor, flow control valves, and
metering, telemetry, and electrical services for well No. 11. An agenda considering this
matter is presented for action by the Board of Directors within this agenda package.
3. Other. The committee conducted a general discussion on the District's 36 -inch Richfield
Road pipeline replacement project and the Edgecliff/West Vale water service relocation
project.
