SUBJECT: Summary Minutes of the Planning- Engineering- Operations Committee
Meeting
The Planning- Engineering- Operations Committee held a meeting on April 2o, 2000. Present
were Paul R. Armstrong, Brett R. Barbre, William Robertson, Lee Cory and Ken Vecchiarelli.
The following items were discussed:
1. Placentia Sewer Proposal. Mr. Robertson and Mr. Cory facilitated a discussion about the
District's proposal to the City of Placentia. The full Board of Directors will review the
proposal at the April 27, Board of Directors meeting.
2. Richfield Plant Renovation project. Mr. Vecchiarelli reported on his on -going problem with
the architect for this job. Staff will recommend to the full Board of Directors that the
District terminate the contract with this firm after their final submittal.
3. Sewer Service to Club House. Mr. Vecchiarelli reported the problems of providing sewer
service to the new club house and a solution. Mr. Vecchiarelli reviewed a solution that
involves Shell, Pulte and MWD. This matter requires further study. A report to the full
Board of Directors is expected at a later date.
4. Imperial Highway projects. Mr. Vecchiarelli deferred this matter to another Committee
meeting.
5. Radio Read Meters. Director Armstrong asked for a status report on radio read meters. Mr.
Robertson discussed generalities and will have a more detailed report at a future Committee
meeting.
