MINUTES OF THE
YORBA LINDA WATER DISTRICT
FINANCE-ACCOUNTING COMMITTEE
June 8, 2007
A meeting of the Yorba Linda Water District Finance-Accounting Committee was called
to order by Committee Chair William R. Mills at 9.00 a.m. The meeting was held at
District Headquarters, 4622 Plumosa Drive, Yorba Linda.
DIRECTORS PRESENT:
Director William R. Mills, Chair
Director Michael J. Beverage
STAFF PRESENT:
Michael Payne, General Manager
Kenneth Vecchiarelli, Assistant GM
Diane Cyganik, Finance Director
Gina Knight, Human Resources Manager
Art Vega, Acting IT Director
Lee Cory, Operations Manager
John DeCriscio, Chief Plant Operator
VISITORS PRESENT:
None
ACTION ITEMS:
1. Review the "Draft" financial aspects of the FY 2007/08 & FY 08/09 Budget -
(Financial portion only).
Each department discussed their section of the budget highlighting areas of key
importance as well as those line items that had a percentage variance greater than
50% as compared to the prior year budget/proposed budget. The Committee asked
questions and the appropriate staff member(s) answered. The Report will be
presented to the Board at the June 14, 2007 Board meeting.
DISCUSSION ITEMS:
2. Replacement & Refurbishment (R & R) Program.
The R & R Program was not discussed due to time constraints.
ADJOURNMENT:
The Committee adjourned at approximately 11:42 a.m. The next Finance-Accounting
Committee meeting is scheduled for July 10th at 4:00 p.m. at District Headquarters,
4622 Plumosa Drive, Yorba Linda, CA.
