MINUTES OF THE
YORBA LINDA WATER DISTRICT and the CITY OF PLACENTIA
AD HOC COMMITTEE MEETING
December 7, 2007
A meeting of the Yorba Linda Water District and the City of Placentia Ad Hoc Committee was
called to order at 9:00 a.m. The meeting was held at the City of Placentia, City Hall, 401 E.
Chapman Avenue, Placentia.

PRESENT: Scott Nelson, Mayor Robert C. Dominguez, City Administrator

DISCUSSION
1. Synthetic turf. The committee discussed the latest synthetic turfs and the various
applications found throughout the community. The District is still working with
surrounding cities, school districts and other water agencies on securing funding for
rebates. The City of Placentia is desirous of staying involved and possibly becoming
a participant.
2. City of Placentia sewers. The District continued to express interest in cleaning and
maintaining the City of Placentia Sewer system.
3. Richfield Road and Miraloma Street construction. Mr. Dominguez summarized the
status of the Richfield Road and Miraloma Street construction plans. The City is out to
bid and is expecting to receive bids on January 8, 2008 and have the City Council
award on January 15, 2008. Construction should start within 30 days following award.
