AD HOC COMMITTEE MEETING
Tuesday, April 24, 2007 ,
A meeting of the Municipal Water District of Orange County Ad Hoc Committee was called to
order by Committee Chair Michael J. Beverage at 4:05 p.m. The meeting was held at the District
offices located at 4622 Plumosa Drive, Yorba Linda.

INTRODUCTION OF VISITORS AND PUBLIC COMMENTS
None
DISCUSSION
1. Update on MWDOC MSR Process and Budget.
Kevin Hunt provided the committee with an update of their municipal services review
by LAFCO. The final report will be presented to the LAFCO Commission in June
2007. Director Barbra thanked YLWD for their resolution of support and pledged that
MWDOC will live up to their commitment made by their Board on December 10, 2007.
2. New Metropolitan Local Project Program
Kevin Hunt reported on a new Local Project Program sponsored by Metropolitan
Water District.
3. Rate Increases in Local Retail Agencies
Kevin Hunt reported that many agencies are looking to raise their water rates. Some
of the justifications for the rate increases are due to OCWD increasing the RA which
will go into effect on July 1, 2007. Other factors are higher gasoline prices, higher
electrical and natural gas costs are increasing. Mr. Hunt mentioned one agency was
looking to increase rates by 66%.

The Committee adjourned at 5:08 p.m. to a meeting scheduled for June 26, 2007, 4:00 p.m.
