MINUTES OF THE
YORBA LINDA WATER DISTRICT
PUBLIC INFORMATION COMMITTEE
February 6, 2007
A meeting of the Public Information Committee was called to order by Committee Chair Ric
Collett at 4:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the District Headquarters, 4622 Plumosa Drive,
Yorba Linda.

ACTION ITEMS
Yorba Linda Water District annexation response to OCWD. The committee discussed
this issue and provided direction to staff. Mr. Kidman and Ms. Trabattoni left the meeting
following this item.
2. Review 2006 Annual Report and Consumer Confidence Report. The Committee
reviewed plans for publication of the Annual Report combined with the Consumer
Confidence Report and provided direction to staff. Mr. de los Reyes left the meeting
following this item.
3. ACWA/Washinaton D.C. legislative presentation. The committee reviewed the District's
preparations for the presentation and provided direction to staff.
4. Letter to homeowners in low water pressure areas. The committee discussed the water
pressure improvement program and provided direction to staff.
STANDING ITEMS
5. Smart Timer Prooram. This program involves rebates for residential, commercial and
institutional customers to install landscape irrigation controllers that adjust watering to
current and historical weather conditions. The committee reviewed activity within the
District during 2006.
6. MWDOC School Proqram. This program provides comprehensive water issues
education to elementary school students. The program visited Lakeview Elementary
School on January 19, 2007.

7. Update on District tour March 17. 2007. The committee discussed this tour for local
elected and appointed public officials and provided direction to staff.
8. Placentia Yorba Linda Unified School District annexation. The committee discussed this
issue and provided direction to staff.
9. Status Report on District Information Activities. There was no report on this item.
ADJOURNMENT
The committee adjourned at 6:04 p.m.
