HomeMy WebLinkAbout2007-06-12 - Public Information Committee Meeting MinutesITEM NO. /4e MINUTES OF THE YORBA LINDA WATER DISTRICT PUBLIC INFORMATION COMMITTEE June 12, 2007 U A meeting of the Public Information Committee was called to order by Committee Chair Ric Collett at 4:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the District Headquarters, 4622 Plumosa Drive, Yorba Linda. DIRECTORS PRESENT STAFF PRESENT Ric Collett, Chair Michael A. Payne, General Manager Michael Beverage Mike Robinson, Public Information Officer Leon de los Reyes, Water Quality Engineer ACTION ITEMS 1. Report on Public Health Goals. The Committee reviewed this report that must be done every three years, and the plans for the required public hearing to be held in August and provided direction to staff. 2. Public Information portion of 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 budget. The Committee reviewed the public information budget and provided direction to staff. DISCUSSION ITEMS 3. SmarTimer rebate program. The Committee reviewed the program activity for April and the current year. 4. District's GIS project. The Committee reviewed plans for the implementation of the global information systems project. 5. District Information activities. The Committee reviewed the District's participation in the upcoming American Cancer Society "Relay for Life" event scheduled for August 10 - 11. ADJOURNMENT The committee adjourned at 5:12 p.m. The next Public Information Committee is scheduled for July 2, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at the District Headquarters, 4622 Plumosa Drive, Yorba Linda. 0
