L-~ • MINUTES OF THE YORBA LINDA WATER DISTRICT PUBLIC INFORMATION - TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE MEETING December 4, 2007 A meeting of the Yorba Linda Water District Public Information-Technology Committee was called to order by Committee Chair Ric Collett at 4:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the District Administration Office at 4622 Plumosa Drive, Yorba Linda. COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT: Director Ric Collett, Chair Director Michael J. Beverage STAFF PRESENT: Michael A. Payne, General Manager Pat Grady, IT Manager Cindy Mejia, Administrative Assist. INTRODUCTION OF VISITORS AND PUBLIC COMMENTS: None. ACTION ITEMS: 1. None DISCUSSION ITEMS: This portion of the agenda is for matters such as technical presentations, drafts of proposed policies, or similar items for which staff is seeking the advice and counsel of the Committee Members. This portion of the agenda may also include items for information only. 2. Status report on District Information activities. Cindy Mejia presented a list of activities she attend for the months of October and November 2007 and indicated that such a monthly list will be available as a discussion item for all upcoming PI Committee meetings. She also presented a list of PI activities and projects she plans to implement in the next six months. The committee requested new variations on the YLWD logo to be presented to the Board of Directors at their next meeting, December 13, 2007. Cindy Mejia also presented a list of items she would like to order for children, public outreach and adults. 3. IT Department Update. Mike Payne introduced Pat Grady as the new IT Director, who began work on November 28, 2008. 4. Water Conservation Update- Resolution 07-17. Cindy Mejia presented a draft of the 10% water conservation resolution. The PI Committee recommended several changes regarding the implementation of fines if the requested percentage of conservation is not met at each level of conservation. 5. GIS update. Pat Grady presented the current GIS system and announced a kickoff meeting for data conversion on December 5, 2007. He also announced the anticipated completion date for the full conversion to the new GIS system as August 2008. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting adjourned at 6:10pm. The next meeting of the Public Information- Technology Committee is scheduled for January 2008. 0
