PUBLIC INFORMATION COMMITTEE
February 6, 2006

A meeting of the Public Information Committee was called to order by Committee Chair William
Mills at 4:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the District Headquarters, 4622 Plumosa Drive,
Yorba Linda.

ACTION ITEMS
1. West Coast Maaazine storv for the March edition. The topic for this edition is water
quality. The story describes the District's water quality program, including testing and
publications to inform our customers. The committee reviewed the text and provided
direction.
STANDING ITEMS
2. Smart Timer Proaram. The program involves rebates for residential, commercial and
industrial customers to install landscape irrigation controllers that adjust watering to
current and historical weather conditions. The committee reviewed the program and
participation within the District.
3. MWDOC School Proaram. This program provides comprehensive water issues
education to elementary school students. The Bryant Ranch School is scheduled to
participate in the program in April. The committee reviewed the program and
participation within the District.
INFORMATIONAL ITEMS
4. Water Lines customer newsletter. The committee discussed the topic of water
conservation for the upcoming spring edition.

The committee adjourned at 4:55 p.m.
