A meeting of the Public Information Committee was called to order by Committee Chair William
Mills at 4:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the District Headquarters, 4622 Plumosa Drive,
Yorba Linda.

ACTION ITEMS
1. 2006 Consumer Confidence Resort. The Committee reviewed the report and suggested
that an executive summary be added.
2. West Coast Maaazine storv for the June edition. The committee reviewed the text and
suggested that the topic be changed to a discussion of the Consumer Confidence
Report.
3. Water Awareness Month - Open House at Richfield Plant. The committee reviewed the
schedule of events scheduled for May 13.
STANDING ITEMS
4. Smart Timer Proaram. The program involves rebates for residential, commercial and
industrial customers to install landscape irrigation controllers that adjust watering to
current and historical weather conditions. The committee reviewed the program and
participation within the District.
5. MWDOC School Proaram. This program provides comprehensive water issues
education to elementary school students. The Lakeview School participated in the
program in March, and Bryant Ranch School participated in the program in April. A total
of some 700 students were educated. The committee reviewed the program and
participation within the District.
