A meeting of the Public Information Committee was called to order by Committee Chair William
Mills at 4:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the District Headquarters, 4622 Plumosa Drive,
Yorba Linda.

ACTION ITEMS
1. Consider draft 2006 Annual Report. The Committee reviewed plans for publication of
the Annual Report combined with the Consumer Confidence Report. This item will be
discussed by the Board of Directors at a subsequent meeting.
STANDING ITEMS
2. Smart Timer Program. This program involves rebates for residential, commercial and
institutional customers to install landscape irrigation controllers that adjust watering to
current and historical weather conditions. The committee reviewed activity during the
current year.
3. MWDOC School Program. This program provides comprehensive water issues
education to elementary school students. The program will visit Lakeview Elementary
School on January 19, 2007.
4. West Coast Magazine. The Committee reviewed changes in the magazine's publication
schedule.
INFORMATIONAL ITEMS
5. District Information Activities. , The Committee reviewed the District's participation in
several public activities including the and the Placentia Heritage Days Parade held on
October 14, the Yorba Linda Fiesta Days Parade and Fair held on October 28 and "Jog-
a-Thou events held at Lakeview Elementary, Yorba Linda Middle School, Travis Ranch
School and Glenview Elementary..
6. District Promotional Items: The Committee reviewed promotional items including District
logo sports bottles and "Ricki the Raindrop" figures.
7. Yorba Linda High School St9rv in Y.L. Star: The Committee reviewed the publication of
the District's letter-to4he-editor published in the Star and the Placentia News-Times.
