A meeting of the Planning-Engineering-Operations Committee was called to order by Corrr~n'Rtee o
Chairman Michael J. Beverage at 4:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the District Headquarters,
4622 Plumosa Drive, Yorba Linda.

INFORMATION ITEMS
Sewer Overflow Response. Mr. Cory and Sewer Leadworker, Diane Dalton reported on
staff's response to a sewer overflow on Sunday, January 9, 2005 following heavy rain
storms.
Ms. Dalton left the meeting after this discussion.
2. Hydro-Excavator Bids. Mr. Cory reported staff received bids for a hydro-excavator to be
used to safely excavate near other utilities. Staff is analyzing the bids and will present a
purchase recommendation for the Board of Directors' consideration.
3. In-lieu Water Production. Mr. Vecchiarelli and Mr. Cory presented information on the
District's December in-lieu water operations.
Mr. Cory left the meeting following this discussion.
ACTION ITEMS
4. Bastanchury Road Transmission Pipeline. Mr. Vecchiarelli reported on the completion of
construction activity for the emergency replacement project. Final Board action is
recommended for January 27, 2005.
5. Central Yorba Linda Pipeline Project. Mr. Vecchiarelli reported on status of negotiations
with the contractor involving delays and cost impacts on the project.
6. Bastanchury Site Optimization Plan. Mr. Vecchiarelli presented a concept plan for the
Bastanchury Reservoir and Booster Station Site Optimization Project. The committee
discussed this concept plan at length.
7. Vista Del Verde Water Facilities Cash In Lieu Option. In conjunction with the discussions
for the Bastanchury Site Optimization Plan, the committee discussed a cash in lieu option
for the Vista Del Verde infrastructure improvements at the Bastanchury Site.
