A meeting of the Planning-Engineering-Operations Committee was called to order by
Committee Chairman John Summerfield at 4:05 p.m. The meeting was held at the District
Headquarters, 4622 Plumosa Drive, Yorba Linda.

ACTION ITEMS:
1. Water and Sewer Improvement Projects including 2005-2006 Cast Iron Replacement
Project, Job No. 200515, Grandview Sewer Extension Project, Job No. 200407,
Kellogg Sewer Improvement Project, Job No. 200516, Rio Del Oro Sewer
Improvement Project, Job No. 200603 and Vista Loma Sewer Realignment Project,
Job No. 200604. The Committee discussed the impact and critical timing of the
combined project components and supports staff's attempt to get the project awarded
at the Board Meeting on June 8, 2006, if acceptable bids are received on June 7 and
staff can make a clear recommendation for award.
STANDING ITEMS:
2. Status Report on the Meter Replacement Project. Staff gave a verbal report on the
project progress. The Committee requested staff to prepare a draft water loss report
for discussion and review at the next Planning-Engineering-Operations Committee
Meeting.
3. Capital Improvement Projects Status Report. Staff presented a draft spreadsheet
showing the CIP's in a priority listing with updated cost estimates and cumulative cost
column.
4. In-lieu Production Status Report. Staff presented an updated report for in-lieu and
total production in Fiscal Year 2005-06 for the period ending May 31, 2006.
INFORMATION ITEMS:
5. Proposed Development off Avocado Avenue. Staff presented exhibits and lead a
discussion of a proposed project off Avocado Avenue which would include District
participation in relocating an old cast iron pipeline and services.
6. Draft Mitigated Negative Declarations for the Highland Reservoir Replacement
Project and the Richfield Administration Building Project. Staff reported the Initial
Studies for these projects and completed and staff is posting the Notice of Availability
for the Draft Negative Declarations on these projects.
The Committee adjourned at approximately 5:20 P.M.
