A meeting of the Municipal Water District of Orange County Ad Hoc Committee was cal le to
order by Chair Paul R. Armstrong at 4:30 p.m. The meeting was held at the District
Headquarters, 4622 Plumosa Drive, Yorba Linda.
DIRECTORS PRESENT:
Director Paul R. Armstrong, Chairman
Director Michael J. Beverage
STAFF PRESENT:
Michael A. Payne, General Manager
Kenneth R. Vecchiarelli, Assist. G.M.
MWDOC DIRECTORS PRESENT:
Brett Barbre, Director
MWDOC STAFF PRESENT:
Kevin Hunt, General Manager
INTRODUCTION OF VISITORS AND PUBLIC COMMENTS:
There were no visitors.
DISCUSSION
The following items were discussed at the meeting:
1. Governor's Bond Issue and Water Resources Investment Fund (WRIF). MWDOC
Director Barbre and MWDOC General Manager Hunt commented on several
proposed bond issue matters.
2. Metropolitan Integrated Area Study for Central Pool. MWDOC General Manager Hunt
gave a report to the committee with MWDOC Director Barbre providing input.
3. Progress on Grants. YLWD General Manager Payne updated the committee on grant
applications submitted by the District on two projects. MWDOC General Manager
Hunt suggested staff follow up with phone calls on those grant submittals to confirm
they were received and are complete.
4. Metropolitan Issues. The committee discussed the selection process for the new
MWD General Manager and his priorities.
It was agreed by the committee and staff members that the meeting date for the committee
would be changed to the fourth Tuesday of every other month.
ADJOURNMENT
The committee adjourned at 5:51 p.m. The next YLWD-MWDOC Ad Hoc Committee is
scheduled for April 25, 2006.
