AD HOC COMMITTEE MEETING
June 27, 2006

A meeting of the Municipal Water District of Orange County Ad Hoc Committee was called to
order by Chair Paul R. Armstrong at 4:30 p.m. The meeting was held at the District
Headquarters, 4622 Plumosa Drive, Yorba Linda.

Michael A. Payne, General Manager
MWDOC DIRECTORS PRESENT:

MWDOC STAFF PRESENT:
Kevin Hunt, General Manager
INTRODUCTION OF VISITORS AND PUBLIC COMMENTS:
There were no visitors.
DISCUSSION
The following items were discussed at the meeting:
1. 2nd Lower Feeder Extension to EOCF#2 and the potential service connection into
YLWD's lower zone - schedule meetina with YLWD and Metropolitan Water District.
Kevin Hunt stated that he would arrange a meeting with MWD, MWDOC and YLWD
to discuss YLWD's request to connect the District's well system to MWD's new
pipeline.
2. MWDOC Budaet approved and content.
Kevin Hunt reported on MWDOC's budget and that the rates were virtually the same
as last year. The committee discussed the Capacity Charge and its impacts to YLWD.
3. Metropolitan Intearated Area Studv opportunities.
Kevin Hunt discussed Metropolitan Integrated Area Study opportunities. These
projects would possibly take the place of the central pool augmentation fund.
4. Comina chanaes to Metropolitan's Local Resources Proaram.
Kevin Hunt reported on proposed changes to Metropolitan's Local Resources
Program. The committee discussed a $250/acre foot recycling charge.
5. Chinatown Issues.
Kevin Hunt reported on some issues between MWD and the Department of Water
and Power.
ADJOURNMENT
The committee adjourned at 5:23 p.m. The next YLWD-MWDOC Ad Hoc Committee is
scheduled for August 29, 2006 at 4:00 p.m.
