A meeting of the Yorba Linda Water District-Municipal Water District of Orange County Ad Hoc
Committee was called to order by Committee Chair Michael J. Beverage at 4:00 p.m. The
meeting was held at the District Headquarters, 4622 Plumosa Drive, Yorba Linda.

Matt Stone, Associate General Manager
1. Metropolitan Proposed Rates
Matt Stone and Brett Barbre led a discussion about the short term projection for
imported water rates and charges for Met and MWDOC. The different rates
discussed were Tier 1 and Tier 2, system access rate, water stewardship, system
power rate, treatment surcharge, and capacity charge.
2. Proposed Metropolitan Treated Water Peaking Charge
Matt Stone led a discussion about Metropolitan's proposed treated water peaking
charge planned for June or July of this year.
3. Emergency Storage for South County in OCWD Basin
Matt Stone briefly summarized discussions being conducted pertaining to storing
emergency water in the South County.
4. Grants & Loans
Since the MWDOC General Manager was not present, Michael Payne stated he
would call Kevin Hunt on the details of this issue and would add this item to the next
agenda.
