Mills at 4:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the District Headquarters, 4622 Plumosa Drive, Yorba Linda. YLWD DIRECTORS PRESENT William R. Mills, Jr, Chair Michael J. Beverage OCWD DIRECTORS PRESENT Larry Kraemer, Chair ALSO PRESENT None YLWD STAFF PRESENT Michael A. Payne, General Manager OCWD STAFF PRESENT Virginia Grebbien, General Manager Craig Miller, Asst. General Manager DISCUSSION ITEMS 1. Program Environmental Impact Report (PEIR). Michael Payne asked Virginia to comment on the status of the PEIR and the purpose for her September 23 letter. Ms. Grebbien reported the PEIR is about 5- 10% complete. YLWD asked OCWD why YLWD was excluded from the MOU process and her reply was it was our request. YLWD disputed her statement. Ms. Grebbien explained that she sent a letter with the MOU attached requesting YLWD to execute the MOU if YLWD is interested in annexation. Director Beverage requested copies of the MOU executed by IRWD and Anaheim. 2. Santa Ana River and Warner basin cleaning Michael Payne reported YLWD experiences water quality problems and wells having to be shut down when OCWD drains the Warner basin annually for cleaning. Mr. Payne requested OCWD to review their operations and see if in-lieu could be made or other operational changes made during the cleaning of the basin. Virginia Grebbien stated she would look into the matter. 3. Ground Water Replenishment System (GWRS) update. Virginia Grebbien gave the committee an update on the status of the GWRS project. The committee asked questions about different aspects of the project. This was for information only. 4. Basin Production Percentage Projections. Virginia Grebbien provided the Committee with a status report of the current basin production levels and forecasted projections. The total water demands for 04-05 are projected at 478,000 afy and 510,000 afy in 05-06. This will amount to 66% BPP and 60% respectively. The Committee asked questions about different aspects of the project. The committee adjourned at 5:35 p.m.
