J-J- AGENDA REPORT APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF OIREMRS OF THE YORBA LINDA WAFER OWRI f, DATE: January 23, 2003 JAN 2 3 02 d TO: President and Members of the Board 8Y FROM: Planning-Engineering-Operations Committee SUBJECT: Summary Minutes of the Planning-Engineering-Operations Committee Meeting The Planning-Engineering-Operations Committee held a meeting on January 15, 2003. Present were Paul Armstrong, Bill Mills, Bill Robertson, Ken Vecchiarelli, Lee Cory and Patti Nahill, Project Manager for Pulte Homes. The following items were discussed: 1) Lakeview Gravity Sewer. Mr. Vecchiarelli reported on the most recent information related to the options for a gravity sewer through the Muranaka Nursery property. The committee discussed the current status of communications with the property owner representatives and addressed possible future action items required before the Board of Directors consider recommendations on this proposed project. Patti Nahill left the meeting following these discussions. 2) Zone 2 Transmission Pipeline. Mr. Vecchiarelli reported that staff has not completed their evaluation of the proposals for engineering design, construction management and inspection services for this project. The committee discussed the matter briefly. 3) Zone 3 & 4 Reconfiguration Project. Mr. Vecchiarelli reported that staff received six proposals for engineering design, construction management and inspection services for this project. Staff is evaluating these proposals and will prepare a recommendation for the Board's consideration at a later date. 4) Vista Del Verde Village 3 Transmission Pipelines. Mr. Vecchiarelli reported on agreements pending negotiations with the SWEPI partnership for the transmission pipelines in Bastanchury Road and a portion of Lakeview Avenue. The Planning- Engineering-Operations Committee will discuss this matter further at a later date. 5) Water and Sewer Service to the Proposed High School. Mr. Vecchiarelli reported that communications were in progress with the various parties considering service to the proposed high school in the Shapell Property west of Fairmont Boulevard. 6) Other. Mr. Cory reported that staff will open bids for new fleet and utility vehicles on January 21, 2003, and take this matter to the board following review and acceptance of these bids. Mr. Cory and Mr. Robertson reported on sewer maintenance contracts with the City of Placentia and the possibility of opening dialog with the City of Yorba Linda regarding the ownership of their system.
