SUBJECT: Summary Minutes of the Planning-Engineering-Operations Committee Meeting
The Planning-Engineering-Operations Committee held a meeting on April 17, 2002. Present
were John Summerfield, Michael Beverage, Bill Robertson, Ken Vecchiarelli, Lee Cory, and
Nem Ochoa. The following items were discussed:
1. Richfield Plant Renovation. Mr. Vecchiarelli reported on the progress of the renovation
project.
2. District Project Updates. Mr. Vecchiarelli reported that staff is ready to recommend
Consultant Agreements for engineering services on several projects including the
Reservoir Nitrification Prevention and Control Study, the Pump and Wellhead
Improvements for Well No. 18 and the Sodium Hypochlorite Conversion Project at the
Richfield Plant. Agenda reports for these projects are presented for the Board's
consideration in the packet for April 25, 2002. Mr. Ochoa left the meeting after this
discussion.
3. Vista Del Verde Development Phasing Agreement. Mr. Vecchiarelli discussed a
proposed amendment to the Water and Sewer Facilities Phasing Agreement with SWEPI.
The committee discussed this issue at length. Staff will present an agenda item regarding
this matter for the Board's consideration on April 25, 2002.
