S CT: Summary Minutes of the Planning-Engineering-Operations Committee Meeting
The Planning-Engineering-Operations Committee held a meeting on December 5, 2002.
Present were John Summerfield, Mike Beverage, Bill Robertson and Ken Vecchiarelli. The
following items were discussed:
1) Proposed Gravity Sewer through Muranaka Nursery. Mr. Vocchiarelli reported on a
meeting with Mr. Muranaka at the nursery. The committee discussed the various options
for future action to move forward with the gravity sewer project.
2) Richfield Plant Renovation. Mr. Vecchiarelli reported on the completion of landscape
construction and punch list items for the project and discussed the process for acceptance.
The Board is considering this matter at their regular meeting of December 12, 2002.
3) Zone 2 Transmission Pipeline. Mr. Vecchiarelli reported that staff received proposals for
engineering design, construction management and inspection services for this project.
Staff will review these proposals and bring a recommendation for the Board's
consideration at a later date.
4) Temporary Tanks. Mr. Vecchiarelli reported on recommendations coming to the Board
for consideration on December 12, 2002. These include approvals fortemporary
reservoirs in the Vista Del Verde and Pulte developments. The committee discussed
aesthetics and other matters regarding these temporary facilities.
6) Other. The committee discussed matters related water and sewer service to the possible
school site on the Shapell Industries property west of Fairmont Boulevard.
