er Summary Minutes of the Public Information Committee meeting

The Public Information Committee held a meeting on February 3, 2004. Present were Director
Arthur C. Korn and Michael A. Payne, General Manager. The following items were discussed:
2004 Public Information Plan: Michael Payne distributed a revised 2004 Public
Information Plan that contained the costs of the different programs planned for this year.
A complete copy will be distributed to the Board of Directors on February 12, 2004.
2. Water Awareness Month - May: The committee discussed the issue of making
arrangements for another Open house at the Richfield plant in conjunction with Water
Awareness month. The committee reviewed some of the proposed activities.
3. District tours: Michael Payne discussed the issue of resuming the District tours in the fall
of 2004. A spring tour is proposed in conjunction with Water Awareness month and the
District open house in May. Staff will bring a report to the Board on February 26
recommending the Board lift the temporary ban of District tours.
4. Waterlines newsletter: Michael Payne reviewed the proposed topics for the next
waterlines newsletter that would be sent out at the end of this month.
5. Future Issues: Staff asked the Committee if there were any specific issues that the
Committee would like to review or address in the upcoming year. At the present time
there are no additional issues.
