BUILDING AD HOC COMMITTEE

A meeting of the Yorba Linda Water District Building Ad Hoc Committee was called to
order by Chairman Michael J. Beverage at 4:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the
District offices located at 4622 Plumosa Dr., Yorba Linda, CA.

DISCUSSION ITEMS:
The Committee discussed the project schedule including key milestones dependent on
the OCFA review of a methane analysis, which is scheduled to be submitted on Nov.
17. The Committee discussed the possibility of bidding the project as early as Dec. 4,
2006 with award in January. Director Beverage expressed a desire to provide a unique
approach to the groundbreaking ceremonies. Gillis and Associates presented a
proposal for a Construction Administration Services Contract Amendment. The proposal
included assistance in prequalifying contractors to bid the project. The committee
supported staff's approach to authorize this effort at this time and consider the proposal
for interior design services and construction administration at the time of contract award.
INFORMATION ITEMS:
Staff reported that final plans have been delivered to the City of Placentia. Methane
results to OCFA are the last submittal. The storm drain design is nearing completion
and should be bid in December or January. Coordination with MWD, MWDOC and the
City of Placentia representatives is an on-going process with regards to street
improvements on Richfield and Miraloma Avenue. Building permit fees to the City of
Placentia will amount to approximately $30,000 and will be paid by YLWD.
ADJOURNMENT:
The committee adjourned at 5:05 p.m. The next Building Ad Hoc Committee meeting is
scheduled for November 16, 2006 at 4:00 PM.
