BUILDING AD HOC COMMITTEE

A meeting of the Yorba Linda Water District Building Ad Hoc Committee was called to
order by John Summerfield at 4:00 pm. The meeting was held at District Headquarters,
4622 Plumosa Drive, Yorba Linda.

DISCUSSION ITEMS:
1. American Landscape, the sole company that responded to the District's request for
proposals to design and build a water feature for the new administration building,
inquired about the prevailing wages requirement and the limits of insurance and
bonding coverage required on this project. While increasing the project costs,
these are requirements for a public agency and public works project. Staff will
confer with general counsel and discuss options of contracting the design and work
through Grant General Contractors who may use American Landscape through a
subcontract agreement.
The Committee and the visiting artisans, exchanged concepts and ideas for the
details of the water feature. The visitors and Mr. Samaripa left the meeting
following this discussion.
Information Items
2. Staff reported on the status of a draft amendment between YLWD and City of
Placentia regarding the street improvements in Richfield Road and Miraloma
Avenue and the storm drain improvements in Miraloma Avenue and Van Buren
Street.
3. Staff reported on the status of:
a. Building construction - new roof nearing completion.
b. Storm drain in Miraloma Ave. - conflicting utility relocation work underway.
c. Interior design colors selected.
d. Edison power pole relocation - Joint Use Agreement delivered to City of
Placentia for consideration and approval by City Counsel.
ADJOURNMENT:
The committee adjourned at 6:00 pm.
