SUBJECT: Summary Minutes of the AB 2109 Ad Hoc Committee Meeting
The AB 2109 Ad Hoc Committee held a meeting on April 1, 1996. Present were
Michael Beverage, Sterling Fox, William Robertson and Roger Lubin. The Committee
reviewed a District letter to Assemblyman Ackerman and Senator Lewis which explains
the District's position on AB 2109. Following discussion, President Beverage reported
he will arrange meetings with representatives Ackerman and Lewis so both he and
Director Fox, can personally deliver the District's letter.
The Committee also discussed the AB 2109 White Paper prepared by a consortium of
agencies concerned with the ramifications of AB 2109. The Committee concurred with a
staff report that the White Paper does not adequately address District's concerns. The
Committee felt the District should receive and file the White Paper, and use it for
reference.
