SUBJECT: Summary Minutes of the Legislative Ad Hoc Committee Meeting
The Legislative Ad Hoc Committee held a meeting at 3:00 p.m. on January 12, 1998. Present
were Michael Beverage, Sterling Fox and William Robertson. Mr. Robertson reported that
General Counsel did not interpret the Cortese-Knox law correctly during their report at the
January 8, 1998, Board of Directors meeting. The Committee discussed possible changes in the
law. Mr. Robertson requested more time to discuss options with legal counsel and the legislative
consultant. The Committee meeting adjourned to Wednesday, January 14, at 4:00 p.m. at the
District office.
