SUBJECT: Summary Minutes of the Adjourned Legislative Ad Hoc Committee Meeting
The Adjourned Legislative Ad Hoc Committee meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. on
January 14, 1998. Present were Michael Beverage, Sterling Fox and William Robertson. Mr.
Robertson reported on discussions with the legislative consultant. The consultant recommended
a course of action if the District wanted additional protections under the Cortese-Knox
Government Reorganization Act. The Committee discussed the matter and offered advice to
staff. This matter will be presented for action by the full Board of Directors at the January 22,
1998, meeting.
