July 23, 1987
The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda
Water District was called to order by President Cromwell at 8:30
A. M. in the district offices at 4622 Plumosa, Yorba Linda.
Directors present: Paul R. Armstrong, Whit Cromwell, Sterling
Fox, M. Roy Knauft, Jr. Also present: Ralph C. Shook general
manager, Arthur c. Korn assistant general manager, Michael A.
Payne engineering manager, Juanita Harris office manager, Cheryl
Gunderson from the accounting firm of Conrad & Associates.
President Cromwell recognized assistant general manager Korn for
nineteen years of service with the District.
Motion by Director Armstrong and seconded by Director Mills to
approve the consent calendar as follows: Approval of the minutes
as submitted of the meeting of July 9, 1987; authorization for
the Directors to leave the State of California prior to the next
meeting and routine applications: SS-22-1005 Marvin M. Raliff,
5419 Lakeview, single sewer service in the amount of $3,552.16
and SS-26-132 Kenneth R. Turnquist, 17861 Anna Marie Road single
sewer service in the amount of $4,137.60. Motion carried
unanimously.
Motion by Director Armstrong and seconded by Director Fox to
approve and authorize the District officers to execute the Sewer
Maintenance Agreement with the City of Yorba Linda subject to
Legal Counsel. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Director Fox and seconded by Director Knauft to approve
payment of Bills and Rate Deposits in the amount of $303,925.22
on checks No. 12665, 12733 thru 12858. Motion carried
unanimously.
Director Mills reported on the Public Information Committee
meeting of July 9, 1987. The Xeriscape Committee will meet July
28, 1987 at 7: 30 A. M.
Assistant general manager Korn reported on the CSDA Board meeting
of July 10, 1987.
Director Armstrong reported on the WACO meetings of June 5 and
July 10th.
Director Knauft reported on the MWDOC meeting of July 15, 1987.
Directors Mills and Cromwell reported on the OCWD meeting of July
15, 1987.
Director Mills reported on the City Council meeting of July 21,
1987.
Directors Knauft, Fox, Mills and general manager Shook reported
on the Orange County Water Association meeting of July 22, 1987.

Motion by Director Mills and seconded by Director Fox to adjourn
to 7:00 P. M. , August 3, 1987.
Motion carried unanimously.
Meeting adjourned at 10:05 A. M.
