SUBJECT: Summary Minutes of the Planning- Engineering - Operations Committee Meeting
The Planning- Engineering - Operations Committee held a meeting on April 19, 1995. Present were
Carl Scanlin, Paul Armstrong, William Robertson, Ray Harsma, and Chuck Gray. The following
items were discussed by the committee.
1. Five Year Plan. William Robertson, General Manager, presented a staff report on the
proposed Five Year Plan for Fiscal Years 1995 -96 through 1999 -00, and Chuck Gray,
Engineering Manager, presented a staff report on the proposed Capital Improvement
Program This matter will be presented to the Board of Directors for consideration at a later
date.
2. Richfield Plant Renovation. William Robertson, General Manager, and Chuck Gray,
Engineering Manager, presented a staff report on the workshop meeting held with the City
of Placentia, on April 18, 1995, with regard to the renovation of the Richfield Plant.
Additional items discussed were the concerns about the condition of Well No. 1 and the
need to conduct video surveys of Well Nos. 5, 7, and 12 to determine their present
condition prior to finalizing the plans and specifications for their conversion to single lift
wells. This matter will be presented to the Board of Directors for consideration at a later
date.
3. Harold Leasure Development. Chuck Gray, Engineering Manager, presented a staff
report on the status of the Leasure Development project. Items discussed were methods to
mitigate site grading concerns over the District's 26 inch transmission main. Staff will
continue to work with the City and the developer to resolve the grading issue. This matter
will be presented to the Board of Directors for consideration at a later date.
