AN ORDINANCE BY THE BOARD OR DIRECTORS OF THE
f YORBA LINDA WATER DISTRICT ADOPTING
LOCKE RANCH SEWER MAIN'f ENANCE ASSESSMENTS
WHEREAS, in October 1977 the City of Yorba Linda transferred and
conveyed ownership of the Locke Ranch sewer system to the
Yorba Linda Water District (herein referred to as "District");
and,
WHEREAS, the Locke Ranch sewer system is outside the existing
boundaries of the District; arid,
WHEREAS, under authority of the California Health and Safety Code
Section 5471 and 5473 the District may levy sewer
maintenance assessments on property located outside of the
District boundaries, and'may elect to have the County of
Orange Auditor/Controller collect the sewer maintenance
assessment on the County tax bills.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors of the Yorba Linda Water
District as follows:
Section L The Yorba Linda Water District Locke Ranch Sewer
Assessments for Fiscal Year 1987-88 and each year thereafter
until this Ordinance is repealed or the charge is modified are
hereby approved and adopted at $15.00 per year per assessor
parcel and/or commercial unit.
Section 2. The Yorba Linda Water District Locke Ranch Sewer
Maintenance Assessments are hereby fixed in the amounts and
against the assessable parcels of land shown in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein.
Section 3. The Board of Directors elects to have the County of
Orange Auditor-Controller collect the assessments fixed herein on
the tax roll in the same manner, by the same persons, and at the
same time as and together with and not separately from, County
taxes.
Section 4. The General Manager or his designee is authorized and
directed to file with the County of Orange Auditor/Controller a
copy of this ordinance together with the listing of parcel numbers
and amounts of assessments shown in Exhibit "A" and such other
documentation as the County Auditor/Controller may require in
order to accomplish the purposes of this ordinance.
Section S. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
adoption by the Board of Directors. The assessments adopted
herein must be submitted to the County of Orange immediately ire
order to be collected with the County taxes as set forth in Section
3 hereof. The Board of Directors finds and determines, therefore,
that there is an urgent need for enactment of this ordinance
immediately. The General Manager or his designee is authorized
and directed to cause a complete copy of the text of this
ordinance, without exhibits, to be published once in a newspaper of
general circulation in the District.

called vote:
AYES: Directors Paul Armstrong, M. Roy Knauft, Jr., Whit Cromwell.

ABSENT: Directors Sterling Fox, William R. Mills, Jr.
