1. PUBLIC COMMENTS
Any individual wishing to address the committee is requested to identify themselves and state the matter on which they
wish to comment. If the matter is on this agenda, the committee Chair will recognize the individual for their comment
when the item is considered. No action will be taken on matters not listed on this agenda. Comments are limited to
matters of public interest and matters within the jurisdiction of the Water District. Comments are limited to five minutes.

Pursuant to Government Code section 54957.5, non-exempt public records that relate to open session agenda items and are
distributed to a majority of the Committee less than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the meeting will be available for public

In response to Governor Schwarzenegger's Emergency 1 1
Proclamation asking all water users to reduce their Water Conservation Ordinance
consumption by 20%, as well as the MWD's 15% 1 1 1 1 1
supply cut to Orange County, the Yorba Linda Water 1 1
District, in cooperation with the Citizens Advisory
Committee has drafted a water conservation ordinance.
The purpose of the ordinance is to prevent the waste
of District water and to protect the health and safety
of water users within the Yorba Linda Water District.
The ordinance outlines permanent, year-round water 1 1 1 1
conservation measures and prohibitions against water 1 1 1 1 1
waste, as well as a four part contingency plan which

can be implemented in stages upon the declaration
of water shortages. Violations any provisions of the

ordinance that are observed by members of the
District staff will result in penalties that will begin 1 1

Attention Business Owners !
Based on both regulatory and environmental drought, the
Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) has
cut supplies by 1.5% to Orange County.
In response, the Yorba Linda Water District has passed a
Water Conservation Ordinance,
effective July 1, 2009.
Below are some water use restrictions
to be aware of starting this summer:
♦ No Washing Off of Hard/Paved Surfaces
♦ Irrigation Limited to 15 min/station/day
